Draggin The Bumper
Hi all! Damian here! The other day I found myself being asked to do a column for a new RV magazine. I didn’t really know what to write about, for that matter why anyone would want to read it. But, the fact that I was asked at all seemed compliment enough to give […]

This is sort of a shake down trip for both the RV and my feet. Right now we are only planning on day hikes and photographing the magnificant […]

“PARIS — Americans are shell-shocked at $4-a-gallon gas. But consider France, where a gallon of petrol runs nearly $10. Or Turkey, where it’s more than $11.
“Drivers around the world are being pummeled by the effects of record gas prices. And now some are hitting back, staging strikes and protests from Europe to Indonesia to demand […]

Even with fuel costs in the UK considerably higher than in the States, new registrations of RVs in the first five months of 2008 are up […]

Caravanning in Scotland
June 18th, 2008 · Comments Off
Because half of my family tree emigrated from Scotland to Nova Scotia in the late 19th century, I have a soft spot in my heart for Scotland. I’ve toured the land of my forbearers twice by both car and train–my next visit will be by caravan.
During my research, I’ve come across a very informative article published in the Glasgow, Scotland, Daily Record: ”Room […]

Oops, someone didn?t check his car?s towing capacity
June 14th, 2008 · Comments Off
One small car was put to the test … pity the driver didn’t read the owner’s manual before heading out for a camping trip. (The first part of the video is simply a set up for the “towing test” … it’s worth the brief wait.)
