Growing up in Placer County California in the 1940’s, Ernie learned early-on how to build and repair farm equipment and just about whatever else needed to be done around a working ranch. His knowledge of trailers and motorhomes developed over the years as he and his wife traveled with their 3 children. They met an abundance of other trailerites around the country. Ernie and his family ended up full timing before they moved into a house on the family ranch in 2005, in sight of the barn, where he’s rebuilt and repaired travel trailers and motorhomes, mostly streamlined aluminum riveted construction, for the past 44 years.
Since joining VintageAluminum in 2001, Ernie has continued Airstreaming, locating trailers for interested individuals, and helping numerous newer and seasoned owners learn about and repair their units. Having been a WBCCI Unit President and holding numerous Committee Chairs, Ernie continues to be involved in International Rallies and many yearly meets, including various vintage groups who enjoy keeping older units in excellent working order.
